Building Infrastructure Improvement Projects
The Unionville-Chadds Ford School District hired Reynolds to help them address several large deferred-maintenance/building infrastructure improvement projects. The district created a 10-year capital improvement plan whose goals included HVAC, controls and envelope improvements at several facilities as well as removing all remaining T12 lights in the district.
To date, Reynolds has completed four phases of work, and is currently constructing the fifth phase. Three of the four completed phases have focused on CF Patton Middle School. At this location, Reynolds has completed a lighting retrofit and upgraded the HVAC systems that address the administrative wing, band room, and auditorium. We are currently replacing eight large multi-zone RTUs that address the heating and cooling throughout the remainder of the building. We have also completed a lighting retrofit at the district’s Hillendale Elementary School.
Throughout the course of these projects, Reynolds has actively worked with the district and their electrical utility provider (PECO) to capture as much savings as possible from PECO’s Energy Efficiency program. Through Reynolds’ guidance the district has captured over $50,000 in incentives over the course of the first four phases of work.
