Reynolds was hired to provide commissioning services for the Turnpike Industrial Park (TIP) Building for the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC).
The renovations to the former Pennsylvania Lottery building, an approximately 103,000-square-foot facility, included demolition, construction, and equipment and furnishing fit-out of a new Tier 3 Data Center, PBX Room, and associated mechanical and electrical support spaces and systems. Portions of the TIP Building were occupied during the renovations, which meant the work was phased to allow the occupants to go about their activities.
The project allowed the PTC to expand its services without adding on to the administrative headquarters. Functions like EZ-Pass and the central telephone system were transferred to the TIP Building.
In a separate contract, Reynolds was hired by the project’s construction manager, STV, as a sub-consultant to provide on-site construction management services.
