The Montoursville Area School District Board hired Reynolds to provide construction management and building commissioning services for the C.E. McCall Middle School additions and renovations project. The project consists of 6,800 square feet of new construction and 142,600 square feet of renovations.
Renovations to the current structure include the courtyard, gymnasium, and various classrooms. The site of the current library was converted to a new science and laboratory area and the new library is zero-energy.
In addition to a 20 KW photo voltaic array, the 1968 building will be geo-thermally heated and cooled by 54,000 vertical linear feet of closed loop wells. The project was Pennsylvania’s first school to seek and receive certification under the Green Building Initiatives (GBI) Green Globes rating system.
