Bloomsburg University Residence Hall

Project Background

Bloomsburg University hired Reynolds for preconstruction and construction management services for their new 398-bed residence hall and bookstore project. The existing two-story bookstore building was demolished and is being replaced with a new 162,000-square-foot building at the same location.

The seven-story building is the University’s first intentional multi-use building. The ground level will include the University Bookstore and two new dining venues; the first floor will include the mailroom, an integrative center for tutorial services, and a writing center; while the upper six levels will have suite-style living in units designed for one, two, three, or four students. Amenities will include an outside gathering space with a fire pit, a second-story outdoor plaza, two lounges on every floor, and a “green” roof with sustainable, low-maintenance plants.
