Harrisburg, PA – Reynolds will provide preconstruction services for Harrisburg University’s new 19-story, $100+ million academic tower, contributing to the growth of downtown Harrisburg. Reynolds joins The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company and architect Stantec on the preconstruction team.
The space will house classrooms and labs to support increased demand for health science, advanced manufacturing, and interactive media programs, as well as some hospitality tenants. The new tower will provide educational space for an additional 1,000 students. Construction is planned to start in 2019, with occupancy anticipated for the start of the 2021-2022 academic year.
“Reynolds is proud to partner with Harrisburg University once again to change the Harrisburg skyline,” said David Angle, CEO of Reynolds. “This is an exciting project that will positively impact the area’s economic revitalization.”
Reynolds was the construction manager on the university’s current 16-story, $66 million academic tower, which opened in 2009. Reynolds also managed the fit-out of space in Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts for the university’s new esports training facility earlier this year.
