Bloom Reheat Furnace

Project Background

Reynolds has been contracted to provide scheduling services for the installation of a bloom reheat furnace at Arcelor Mittal’s Steelton mill. The project comprises the bloom reheat furnace proper, new bloom handling equipment, lubrication and water handling systems, and infrastructure changes.

The new furnace will reheat steel to a rolling temperature in a manner that is more energy efficient than the current technology.
